Contorpress Ltd. was founded in 1989 and from the beginning it specializes in the production of multilayer elements for the furniture industry, in particular chairs and armchairs for home and office. Giovanni Spinello, thanks to its great experience and passion in woodworking, created step by step the company toghether with his wife Nicoletta. Today alongside him is the new generation: his son Matteo who is responsible for the design of new products through the best software on the market and daughter Alessia that is responsible of the administration and accountancy. The family management enables customers and suppliers a direct and constant relationship with management at all stages of the production process.
The company has always used in its production the best wood and MDF on the market. In recent years, to meet the an ever more demanding request and diversity, introduced a range of innovative materials such as multi-laminar wood (pre-composed) and a wide and varied assortment of laminates. Dynamic and flexible reality, Contorpress always satisfy it’s customers. Operating in compliance with ethics environmental, in time it was able to obtain the FSC® and PEFC™ certification. The great attention to the market and its evolution has pushed Contorpress continually to expand the variety of products. Today, in addition to the seats, backs and frames in plywood, we also manufactured all the components for the construction of beds (headboard, footboard and rails or axes) and curved doors for application in kitchen and bathroom furniture.
The company provides both raw products to be covered in leather and cloth, to be varnished or laminated.
To ensure the best results, Contorpress has always followed its own proven manufacturing process structured in the following phases:
- initial design and construction of the mold pressing to provide the highest confidentiality for the customer on the item
- preparation of the raw material
- pressing with high frequency or thermal oil presses
- contouring pressed material using a CNC pantograph (Computer Numerical Control), which allows high precision working on both the small and large numbers
- application of metal parts (studs – jumpers and plates) for the attachment of the arms and trunks.
The product will be delivered to the customer, after careful quality control, is ready for painting and upholstering.
